![]() There are several of these Viveza 2 secret adjustments you can use. An often overlooked alternative is to target the colour but reduce its brightness with the Brightness slider. ![]() This can cause a loss of detail where areas of the image quickly become overly saturated. When photographers want to create more intense colours they tend to push the Saturation slider to the right. Target this change on selected areas and you can create much more interesting photography.Īnother example is the Saturation slider. But what happens when you move the slider to the left? When we do this the shadows become darker but still retain detail. The natural tendency for most photographers is to push the slider to the right, revealing hidden detail. Take for example the Shadow slider in Viveza 2. Part of the problem is that we tend to be victims of our own thinking. Even if you do use Viveza for your image adjustments, you might not be achieving the best results. This advanced plug-in for Lightroom and Photoshop is perfect for naturally enhancing your photographs. If you’re a landscape photography you may know about Nik Viveza 2. DxO Nik Collection 4 availability and pricing The Last Edit function, previously available only in Photoshop, has now been extended to Lightroom Classic to make it easier to apply the last preset used to new images, and a new Smart Copy and Past feature lets you selectively re-apply the effect of a plug-in to several images at once without having to launch the plug-in interface. Nik Collection 4 also brings a new workflow for Lightroom users. 10 Meta Presets are supplied with Nik Collection 4, and it will be interesting to see where DxO takes this in the future. For the first time, its possible to combine Nik Collection 4 plug-in effects from within Photoshop with a single preset. The Nik Collection 4 Meta Presets are a little like Photoshop actions, carrying out a pre-defined sequence of filter effects. Nik Collection 4 Meta Presets and Adobe workflow The remaining plug-ins stay pretty much as they are, though they all benefit from new Adobe workflow options and Meta Presets in Photoshop. This elevates Viveza from a simple dodging and burning tool to something rather more powerful – and it too offers more selective Color Tolerance settings. Viveza traditionally been a stripped back local adjustment tool rather than a creative plug-in, but this changes with Viveza 3, which now comes with ten creative presets and the ability to create your own.
